  10     <p>The latest release is <b>4.62</b>.  This is a bug fix and
  11     features release in the <b>4.xx</b> series of releases - see the
  12     <a href="mirrors.html">download</a> pages.  Documentation has been
  13     updated for 4.62 (this is unusual but was done due to problems
  14     with the 4.60/4.61 documentation).  Versions 4.43 and prior had some
  15     security related bugs and should either be <a
  16     href="http://www.exim.org/mail-archives/exim-announce/2005/msg00000.html">patched</a>
  17     or updated to 4.44 or later</p>

  19     <p>New features are documented in the <a
  20     href="ftp/ChangeLogs/ChangeLog-4.61"><tt>doc/ChangeLog</tt></a> and <a
  21     href="ftp/ChangeLogs/NewStuff-4.61"><tt>doc/NewStuff</tt></a> files within
  22     the distribution.  These files are also available separately from
  23     the main package files on the main ftp site and its mirrors in the
  24     <a href="ftp/ChangeLogs/"><tt>ChangeLogs</tt></a> directory - see
  25     the <a href="mirrors.html">download</a> pages.</p>

  27     <p> All versions of exim previous to version <b>4.x</b> are now
  28     considered obsolete and everyone is <b>strongly</b> recommended to
  29     upgrade to a current release.</p>

  31     <p>The last 3.x release was <b>3.36</b>.</p>

  33     <p>There may be beta versions with available from the ftp sites in
  34     the Testing directory.  Many people are using these without
  35     problems, but they are not recommended unless you are willing to
  36     work with beta software.</p>
