  10     <p>The latest release is <b>3.16</b>.  This is an incremental
  11     upgrade with a small number of new features and some bug fixes,
  12     however old 3.0x configuration files should be fully compatible.
  13     New features are documented in the CHANGES and NewStuff files
  14     Upgrading from previous releases is worth doing, particularly
  15     since a denial-of-service hole has been fixed over 3.0x and lower
  16     versions.</p>

  18     <p>There were a number of early beta versions of exim with version
  19     numbers less than <b>1.0</b>.  These should now be avoided.
  20     Versions earlier than <b>2.0x</b> should also be upgraded.
  21     Version 3.0x releases are also best upgraded.</p>

  23     <p>There may be beta versions with available from the ftp sites in
  24     the Testing directory.  Many people are using these without
  25     problems, but they are not recommended unless you are willing to
  26     work with beta software.</p>
