  10     <p>At present those with stable working systems are recommended to
  11     stay with version 4.63 as there have been some issues with later
  12     releases.</p>

  14     <p>The latest release is <b>4.65</b>.  This is a bug fix and
  15     features release in the <b>4.xx</b> series of releases - see the
  16     <a href="mirrors.html">download</a> pages.  Documentation was
  17     updated for 4.62 (this is unusual but was done due to problems
  18     with the 4.60/4.61 documentation).  Versions 4.43 and prior had some
  19     security related bugs and should either be <a
  20     href="http://www.exim.org/mail-archives/exim-announce/2005/msg00000.html">patched</a>
  21     or updated to 4.44 or later</p>

  23     <p>New features are documented in the <a
  24     href="ftp/ChangeLogs/ChangeLog-4.65"><tt>doc/ChangeLog</tt></a> and <a
  25     href="ftp/ChangeLogs/NewStuff-4.65"><tt>doc/NewStuff</tt></a> files within
  26     the distribution.  These files are also available separately from
  27     the main package files on the main ftp site and its mirrors in the
  28     <a href="ftp/ChangeLogs/"><tt>ChangeLogs</tt></a> directory - see
  29     the <a href="mirrors.html">download</a> pages.</p>

  31     <p> All versions of exim previous to version <b>4.x</b> are now
  32     considered obsolete and everyone is <b>strongly</b> recommended to
  33     upgrade to a current release.</p>

  35     <p>The last 3.x release was <b>3.36</b>.</p>

  37     <p>There may be beta versions with available from the ftp sites in
  38     the Testing directory.  Many people are using these without
  39     problems, but they are not recommended unless you are willing to
  40     work with beta software.</p>
