  10     <p>The latest release is <b>4.51</b>.  This is a bug fix and
  11     features release in the <b>4.xx</b> series of releases - see the
  12     <a href="mirrors.html">download</a> pages.  Documentation has been
  13     updated for 4.50.  Versions 4.43 and prior had some security
  14     related bugs and should either be <a
  15     href="http://www.exim.org/mail-archives/exim-announce/2005/msg00000.html">patched</a>
  16     or updated to 4.44 or later</p>

  18     <p>New features are documented in the <a
  19     href="ftp/ChangeLogs/ChangeLog-4.40">doc/ChangeLog</a> and <a
  20     href="ftp/ChangeLogs/NewStuff-4.40">doc/NewStuff</a> files within
  21     the distribution.  These files are also available separately from
  22     the main package files on the main ftp site and its mirrors in the
  23     <a href="ftp/ChangeLogs/"><tt>ChangeLogs</tt></a> directory - see
  24     the <a href="mirrors.html">download</a> pages.</p>

  26     <p> All versions of exim previous to version <b>4.x</b> are now
  27     considered obsolete and everyone is <b>strongly</b> recommended to
  28     upgrade to a current release.</p>

  30     <p>The last 3.x release was <b>3.36</b>.</p>

  32     <p>There may be beta versions with available from the ftp sites in
  33     the Testing directory.  Many people are using these without
  34     problems, but they are not recommended unless you are willing to
  35     work with beta software.</p>
